In April of 2017 my son Ethen was diagnosed with neuroblastoma, a form of pediatric cancer that affects the nervous system. When my wife and I learned of the diagnosis, I began to chronicle Ethen’s fight against the disease. The goal of the blog has been to keep our support network informed about developments in Ethen’s treatment and health status. Much of this writing has entailed simplifying medical jargon into more apprehensible language so that others are able to understand more quickly what Ethen has been through.
