I am currently researching the catenary manuscripts of the Psalms. The goal of this research is to better understand the textual history of the Greek Psalter. I also look forward to learning from the exegetes’ comments on the biblical text within the catenae.
For my thesis at TWU (completed in April 2018), I researched the great Papyrus Bodmer XXIV of the Psalms (Ra 2110), which now belongs to the Museum of the Bible. I analyzed this text in order to better situate it within the textual history of the Greek Psalter. Though the text of the papyrus has been dated to the 2nd century, my analysis revealed that there is evidence of hexaplaric influence in the text, which necessitates a later date—likely the 4th century.
From October 2014 to October 2017, under the guidance of Martin Abegg, Peter W. Flint, and Kyung Baek, I researched various aspects of the Dead Sea Scrolls. I spent a considerable portion of my time researching The Great Psalms Scroll from Cave 11 with Peter Flint. I also researched other poetic works from the Qumran discoveries as well as the Genesis Apocryphon.
